Health returns and health product UINs move to IRDAI's BAP portal from 2 November 2026

IRDAI has moved health insurance filings to the Health module of its upgraded Business Analytics Platform (BAP). Insurers must file their health regulatory returns there, and from 2 November 2026 must generate UINs for new and modified health products, and report withdrawals, only through the portal.

RET 197 for the first two quarters of FY 2026-27 applies to all concerned insurers except life insurers. The operational guidelines for both modules are on the BAP portal.

What to do
- File the pending health regulatory returns for FY 2024-25 and FY 2025-26 through the BAP Health module.
- File RET 197 for Q1 and Q2 of FY 2026-27 there (not required for life insurers).
- From 2 November 2026, generate health product UINs and file product changes and withdrawals only on BAP.
